151 Saline Draught 1 Drahm is 60 grains Of Salt of Tartar 2 Drahms - to be dissolved in 2 Gills of Water - two tablespoonfuls to be mixed with 1 table spoonful of Lemon Juice - Dr. Stewart - Receipt for making Ink To a Scots pint Bottle - Galls 3 Ounces Copres. 1 do - Gum. 1 do - Logwood 1 do - The Logwood first to be boiled in water untill reduced to half the quantity - pour the water into the Bottle upon the other materials the Bottle ought to be shaken daily for two or three weeks. the longer the better and stand in a moderately warm place - Dr. A - Lavender Drops - Miss E. Carnegie To a Bottle of Brandy or Whisky take a large double handful of Lavender flowers new gathered strip the flowers of the stalks let it stand ten days then strain it off and put to it an ounce of Spices Cloves Nutmeg Cinnamon & half a [drop?] of Cochineal - let it stand 3 weeks - there may be half a Mutchkin more got off the flowers and Spices by adding some fresh Sprouts
