Cough Mixture - from Mrs Cumme Good Half an Ounceof Marsh Mallow Root and the same quantity of Liquorice Root - both shred thin - Boil them in a pint and half of Barly water until Reduced to a pint - sweeten with brown Sugar candy and take half a Tea-cupful in the same quantity of warmed Milk 3 times a day - particularly fasting and the last moment before going to Bed - New Milk & Ass Milk may be more effectual if they agree with the Patient - NB - This has [in red?] [illegible] - [illegible] Bitters - 3 Drahms Columba Root 2 ditto Rhubarb Infused in as much Water as will fill a Quart bottle - Add 2 Drahms of dissolved Sulphurne Acid - A Wineglassful every Morning Dr Graham For [fastening?] the Teeth after Mercury - A Tea spoonful pounded Alum the same of Salt petre fill them up in a small phial with Warm Water as much as is agreeable wash the Mouth 3 times a day - Serkie OMarzies
