Albany Feby 23d 1856 H.C Duran Esqr Dear Sir, Mr Farnam should [have?] a letter today from Charles Butler say they were placing 200000 of the 7% Bonds of Chicago, St Paul & Fon du Lac RRC and inviting him to join them as no more would be placed at same price. The price named was 70 - 5% [off?] he named among others that had taken [it?] Mr Halsted Mr Lord &c I think the earnings of the M & M Road are very good indeed considering a new Road just opened, hard winter and the Bridge yet unfinished, have you placed any more of the Bonds and have you heard from Sargent yet Yours &c CW.
