Albany May 24th 1856 A.D Jones Esqr Sir Mr Hallenbake says he told David Jones we had fulfilled the contract on our part and there was no other way but he must pay. I have written him but have not rec'd. any reply I wish you would call on him Monday and ask him once more if he will pay the bill and say to him he will not be called on again but will have an invitation to call up at Buffalo & settle the bill. let me know his reply and if he refuses to pay dont [rescind?] the money should he call to pay afterward, for if we should commence suit he would want to settle but say to him the matter is in my hands - C.W.
