Providence RI [illegible] 19. 1875 My dear Sir. I received your letter and the affidavits from Mr [Crams?]. I have requested the [banck?] to with hold there decision on the motion to dismiss the appeal until Thursday [night?], and I have requested [illegible] Henry & Van Zandt to confer with me here to-morrow, and I hope to be able on Tuesday to present to the Court a motion for leave to defend the [case?], in such form as will secure their favorable consideration. You will probably have a communication by the [illegible] mail to which I shall ask your prompt attention Truly Abraham Payne [T?] C Durant Esq New York.
