Providence Apr 20 1880 Wm Sutphen Esq Dear Sir I write to you rather than directly to Dr Durant as the most certain way of reaching him as you may think it best to telegraph him -- I should regret to have his other plans [in?] business interfered with for want of this notice. I have deferred it hoping to be able to report on Friday as arranged -- but circumstances beyond my control have rendered it impossible -- I shall therefore then again adjourn the matter to June 11 next at 10 1/2 o'clk am -- of course at my office when I confidently hope to be able to present my report -- yr ackdgt of this will oblige Truly Yrs James Tillinghast
