Deposition of Benjamin F. Bunker, who having been first duly sworn, testifies as follows: Interrogatory No 1. Look at the paper now shown you, mark "Ex. 7. April 10. 1879," and at the first four items contained therein, and state by whom those were paid? Answer No 1. They were paid by the Union Pacific Railroad Company. Int. No. 2 What was your connection with the Union Pacific Railroad Company? Ans. No. 2 Assistant Secretary and book-keeper. Int. No. 3 Look in the pamphlet marked "Testimony for Complainants," page 42, at the same four items corresponding in figures. Are those the same ones? Ans. No.3 Yes, sir. Int. No. 4 Did you know anything of any drafts by one Gesner? Ans. No. 4 Yes sir. Int. No. 5. Were they paid? Ans. No. 5. Yes, sir. Int. No. 6 The Union Pacific Railroad Company, John J Cisco, Treasurer.
