Peoples Boone Co Iowa Oct 1887 Dear Sister Sarah, I will try to write you a letter, Sister the last time I seen you or received your kind litter it seems that all things where passing beautifull for our family circle was complete and we basked in the love and sunshine of our Darling baby Edwin Earnest So lovely and fair that we one and all of us gave him our whole heart and love. But Jesus called and we had too let him pass over on the other side. the summons came so swift and sure that we where looking at our little lifeless one before we could realize that Jesus had our little one. Oh how our hearts almost faints when we think of the heart and love that await us as the days go by, but I have tryed and found true his promise As thy day so shall
