Albert, here it is after tea, the sun shining so nice that I can`t help but make mention of the fact, hope it will be a nice day tomorrow gess you have all of your corn planted now. Keenan his all of his but four acres that early he thought was a little wet he left for late planting it got worse in stead of better so he will not get that in till late tho corn is coming up nicely on the places. the little hoppers not doing any damage yet I have not seen any great number yet, hope I wont. how many little calves are you in possesion I have one a pretty white snow & Vall have seven little turkeys if you are a good boy you may learn to carve this Christmas turkey that will be nice. I think I do half promised to carve your turkey for you at your wedding, but under the present circumstances I know you will let me off of that task. yes and you will have to kill the poor little chicks turkeys &c but not the rats that I will finish out myself our house is rid of them... Money out there but you think so. I put up our screen door & I wished I had the boy to help that I had last year I found it rather tiresome doing it all alone. But now I can get down here by it and write to you. Did you think of such a thoughtful when you put it up last year well Albert here is your kiss kiss don't let them make you too sweet as you might melt this warm weather it is getting dark and I will close my letter thinking you dearest all the time Ellen M.
