Elwyn, Claria & Ely Called last Saturday Eve a week ago and spent an evening we had a pleasant time I wish you had been here then. but I persume you was pounding all such little thoughts out of your head. I dont mean that you were hammering your head, but that you were so busy that [illegible] [illegible], drive all sentiments out of your head only left hammer & nails, up and at it boys Well there is a time to work, and a time to play. be sure you take the time to play such as broiling mush. [Se Se?] You know it may come handy in the future when you wish to tender your help to the needy. and those not so apt as yourself Wonder what you have been doing. that very stormy day [hope?] you was at home then it was so cold How the sleigh [illegible] wagon will run very well Seen [Miss?] Ella Smith, today, she reminded me of that
