Ogden Boone [@?] Iowa December 10th, 1876 Miss Ellie M Mowrer, Dear Friend, I hope you will grant me this privilege of writing you a few lines, not because I have not received an answer from my last letters, not to make you think, by me writing this one, that you should have answered my last letters. although I should be very much pleased to read your letters sent to me quite often, and perhaps their may be one in the office for me now. I did not get my last weeks mail, the reason why I am writing you is this. I was expecting to be over to your place today, but thought I would go to church which was to begin
