Monday Evening March 29th [1878] Please accept my thanks good boy for answering my letter I suppose I may consider it quite a condescendtion on your part well Al I received your letter saturday and would have answered it yesterday but I and a chum of mine as you boys say went out on the bluff to see a lady and did not get back until it was time to go to church and then my chum Wes and I went down to the darky church we went on the st cars and the car got off of the track on main st and they had a time getting it on again they came near pitching us into a gutter you bet we got out in a
