July 10th 1874 My Dear Nellie If my little "four weeks old" will only keep quiet - now we will have a little chat although I will do all the talking (as usual) I got up at four o clock this morning to write to you. I wish I could visit with you in person to day but it seems now as if it will be a long time before I see you again Here we but just get acquainted before we must separate and as likely as not you have been married since we heard from you and gone - gone - My sister Lon has been with us all summer and spring, went home two weeks ago.
