Friday, Jan. 26. I am very happily disappointed on the result of my examination. I met Prof. Irish this afternoon while I was riding up Main st. & he said that the Third Ward took the lead & I was no. one, average 93. 8-11 Fred Watson no 2 average 93 - 2-11 & " Plapp " " 92 - 2-11 - It was so unexpected that I was carried away & acted very crazy until evening. Mrs. Adams invited May, I & the club to come up and after a few slides to come in & dance. We went. I am not going to write out the proceedings of this evening, for I am too disgusted with my self & others.
