if they are laughed over by many, they make some feel badly & do nobody any good. I received one comic one & have made one in return for it, but have not sent it. Thursday 14.th. I made wafles for dinner today. May insisted on my sending that valentine & I did it, though hesitatingly. Friday 15th I made a cake & a custard pie today. Saturday, Feb. 16th. Made bread & a couple of apple pies this morning. Papa brought Mr. Lacy up to dinner. Rena Large spent the afternoon & stayed to supper with me. May has gone to a "musical" at Mrs Hasfords, Poor girl, she hated to play so much. I am tired & rather blue - discouraged - no
