clean & then put it in the Liquor in y.r Stew Pan & when done, thicken it with a little flour & Butter & top it with some Cream; boil a little Lemon Peel with Chicken & put in a few Mushrooms (if you have them) with the Cream - A Pea Soup - Take 4 lb of Gravy, (Beef) a Pint of Split Peas, six Onions; some whole Pepper, about 5 Quarts of Water; let these be well boild, strain it & break the Peas thro' a Sieve, serve it up with boil'd Celery & Spinach & fryed Bread & some dry Herbs -
