One Pound of Flour, 1 lb of Sugar, & 8 Eggs with 2 Spoonfuls of Rose Water; beat your Eggs with a Whisk very well; then put in your Sugar & beat it a full Hour; when your Oven is ready put in your Flour & beat it well with a Wooden Spoon -
