put in 1 lb of fine Sugar with the Rind of a Lemon grated into it; when it is mixed very well put in the Juice of half a Lemon & the Yolks of 10 Eggs beat very well; & just before you put it in the oven stir in 10 oz: of fine Flour; butter your Pan; 3/4 of an Hour will bake it - Mrs. Clayton's Cake. Take 6 oz: of Currants; wash & pick them & let them be made very dry; 4 lb of Flour dried; 13 Eggs; take the Yolks from the whites & beat the whites well with a whisk & the Yolks with a Spoon; then take 4 lb of Butter
