To make Shrub. Take 1/2 lb of Lemon Peel & as much orange pared very thin; infuse them in 2 Quarts of Brandy for 24 Hours; then add 3 Quarts more of Brandy with a Pint of Lemon Juice & as much orange & 2 1/2 lb of double refined Sugar; let it stand in a Vessel close stopped for 4 Days, shaking it often; then pass it through fine Flannel & let it stand to fine; then bottle it up: you may put 2 Bottles of Rum instead of Brandy. One Quart of this to two of Water make good Punch.
