a Spoonfull of this with Mushroom Ketchup put into melted Butter - Mrs Franco's Receipt for Jellies. Take of Pump Water 5 Pints, boil it very slowly w.th 1/2 lb of Hartshorn & 1/2 lb of Isinglass till reduced to near half the Quantity then strain it & boil it up again with 1/2 lb of Sugar, 1/2 a Pint of white Wine & y/e Juice of 2 Lemons to be put in after it has boil'd about 6 Minutes with a few Egg Shells to fine it; let it all continue boiling 6 Minutes more; then Strain it thro' a Jelly Bag w.ch had best be a Damask Napkin. It must be repeatedly straind till it is perfectly fine.
