Orgeat. Six Ounces of blanch'd Almonds & pounded with half a Lemon Peel & a little Orange Flour Water; sweeten it with Lump Sugar to your Taste; the Almonds must be beaten with Part of the Sugar, put these in 2 Quarts of Water; let it boil for an Hour, strain it through a Lawn Sieve or Napkin, & let it stand till cold & fit for use - To make minced Pies. (Mrs. Murison) Take 3 lb of Suet, shred it very fine; 3 lb of Raisins; stone & Shred them as fine as possible
