Spunge Cake Weigh ten ounces of eggs and the same of sugar & that of six in flower beat the yealks with flower & the whites alone to a very stiff froth & then by degrees mix the whites & the flour with the other ingredients and beat well half an hour bake in a quick oven an hour Another Without Butter Dry one pound of flour & one & a half of sugar beat seven eggs yealks & whites apart grate a lemon & with a spoonful of of brandy beat the whole an hour bake in a butterd pan quick oven
