A Damson Pudding Take a quart of milk beat six eggs and half the whites with a pint of mik and four spoonfuls of flour a little salt and two spoonfuls of ginger then by degrees mix in all the milk and a pound of damsons tie it in a cloth boil it an hour melt butter and pour over it NB damsons eat well this way To make sauce for pudding take some [illegible] water and put it in a spider and let it boil and then put in some trecle and vinegar and cloves or cinnamon and a little caraway and some flower stir it well together and let it boil carry it to the table hot
