Our cataloguers have been delayed, but will be about before I return. Yours in haste, M.S.C. P. S. I enclose thirty dollars. All the Eastern tens I have the [illegible] of the Bills in my reach - I shall want to use a little more money than I expected, but shall send some more as soon as I can collect on my return. My bills are mostly paid and I have some $150 to $200 still due - If you are drove up I will [illegible] but if not would like to keep my spooked nerves flexible. Love to all. M.S.C. Iowa City Mar. 27/56 Dear Henry, Your last was received last week, while we were driven hard up, with arrangements for Examination and Exhibitions, My labors were so severe day and night for the last two weeks that that my resting moments were not long enough to write letters. After all was over I was unwell three or four days, and then had to pack off in a hurry to make our visit here. We left Geneseo Wednesday evening. Passed the night at Rock Island. Yesterday morning crossed the Mississippi upon the ice - and reached here at noon. 1856 Mar 27 MSC to H
