Wintersett March 7th, 1856 Dear Mother & Sister As we have not heard from you for sometime we though we would write a few lines and find out the reason the mails have not come regular for sometime. Perhaps that is one reason we do not get any more letters. I have not been any better since we last wrote (but worse my breast gethered and I had to have it lanced. This is three times. This morning it broke in another place so it is running in two places. I hope it will have room to all run out and be done with it. I am almost discouraged for fear it will not get well soon. I have not been out of the house but once since the 18th of November, so you may believe that I am somewhat tired of the house. It looks to pretty out that I can hardly stay in I have made out to do all my work (except the washing) with Charley's help and we take good care of the baby. I do wish you both could see her. She is getting so fat (as Emma say). We received a letter from James last week. They were all well and he is going to move back to Wintersett just as soon as possible. We are glad of it. Then I will not get so lonesome. They will move in with us. Charley was at Tillis two weeks ago. They were all well
