Winter set Sept 5 - 58 Dear Sister We have not had a letter from you for some time as we have not written since Charley got home we will drop you a line We are all well and getting a long tolerably considering the hard times although they do not trouble me much only a reduction in my wages We hav plenty to eat and a pretty good little home a bout paid for and I do not think we should complain -- We was glad to hear from you all when Charles got back - you will receive our thanks for the presents you sent We would like to see all of you very much It may be so we can come to see you next summer if we are prosperer We would be glad if you & Doc could come and see us this fall I think will have a nice fall It has been so far Write as soon as you get this and tell us all the news how mother is getting a long.
