May 12th, 1902 The annual meeting of the Cary Club was held at the house of Mrs. McKean, 14 members and one guest present. Called to order by Pres. Roll call was responded to by miscellaneous quotations minutes of previous meeting read + approved. Election of officers resulted in the following list- Mrs. E. Mentzen President. Mrs. J. L. Davis Vice. Pres. Mrs. H. S. Cuderson Secretary. Mrs. Z. K. Gibson Tres. The Pres. appointed Mrs. Doris, Mrs. Maddock, and Mrs. Goiffeths for Program Committee for 1903 and 1904. Sec. read report of lecture delivered by Dr. [illegible] which was as follows. Tickets sold $37.10 Expences $20.76 leaving $16.34 in the tres. Moved and carried that $13.00 be paid to the Tres. of the [Tree?] Public Library and the remainder be left in the Tres. Currient events were then given. Club adjourned to meet wit Mrs. Rathbun in two weeks for the last meeting of the club year. Refreshments served. Mrs. Alexander Pres. Mrs. Hutchinson Sec. Monday May 26th 1902 The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Rathbun for the last meeting of the Club yea with eighteen members present. Roll Call responded to by quotations from Rob Rundette, minutes read and accepted, three papers were then read [Fowa?] Authors by Mrs. Mentzen Educational Institutions by Mrs. Coask. Current events were then given and we adjourned to meet with Mrs. Mentzen Oct. 6. We remained for a social hour by special request of our hostess who served elegant refreshments. Mrs. Alexander Pres. Mrs. Hutchinson Secy.
