Mrs. Baylor had a paper on the early settlement of Jamestown and [Mrs. Griffiths?] subject was " Iowa laws for men and women and wherein the differ. Both very interesting [illegible]. Current events were then given and a short business meeting for [lowed?]. The unfinished questions and whether the membership and the club be enlarged was taken out [of?] the table loud back again in till a larger attendance should warrant its discussion. It was moved and carried that the Pres. appoint a committee to call whom the delinquent members - and this was done. We were then favored by some very [pleasing?] selections and music by [Mrs.?]. Mudge and her daughter Mary adjourned to meet in two weeks with [Mrs. Griffiths?]. [Mrs. Menton?] , Pres. Mrs. Hutchinson sec - [illegible] December 29 - 1902 - The Cary club met with [Mrs. Griffiths?], eleven members arriving to roll-call. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Mrs. Hutchinson and approved. Mrs. Davis was appointed [illegible] the days the committee to see Mrs. Manson and Mrs. [Ninger?] in [agard?] to their work gave their a [fort?] It was moved and carried that Mrs. Manson's work be taken up by the club and she be excused on account of illness. A reading was given by Mrs. Alexander after which [illegible]
