The next meeting being guest day arrangements were made for that. Mrs. Alexander and Mrs. Mudge were appointed committee on program. Mrs. Hutchinson and Mrs. Dobson committee on refreshments. Each member was privileged to invite one guest. Mrs. Shumac and Mrs. Vaughn were elected to membership in the club. Adjourned to meet Mrs. Davis again on guest day. Mrs. Mentzer, Pres. Mrs. Anderson, Sec. February 9, 1903 An event long to be remembered by those present occurred at the home of Mrs. J.C. Davis when the Cary Club entertained their friends with a musical program. A novel feature was the responses given at roll-call .Each member was required to sing a verse of any song she might choose in answer to her name. Nearly all the members responded. This was followed by a piano solo by Miss Bess [Varis?], a piano duet by Mrs. Mudge and daughter Mary. A vocal solo by Miss Clare Louise Gibson and a piano solo by Miss Mabel Alexander. At the close of the program delightful refreshments were served.
