70 Marion Iowa January 25th 1901 The Cary Club met with Mrs Mox Voris. The President called the meeting to order roll call responded to by ten members with quotations. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. business of the club was then taken up. The subject of proposing names for new members was brought before the Club, after some discussion a motion was made by Mrs Hutchinson, that each member of the club write the name she wishes to propose on a slip of paper and hand it to the secretary at our next meeting, to be voted upon two weeks later. The President then appointed a committee to prepare programs and refreshments for guest day, Mrs Griffiths then read a paper on "America among the nations" Club then adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs [illegible] Mr Davis Mrs Griffiths President Secretary Marion February 8th 1904 The Cary Club met with Mrs Hutchinson called to order by the President, twelve members responded to roll call with quotations. It being guest day m program was rendered by the club the time was given to entertainment of our guests. consisting of musical selections by May Voris and Katherine Dobson, solo by Miss Courteney and an address by Mrs Dr [Noff?] of Cedar Rapids, after which club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs Dobson refreshments were served by the club.
