71 Marion Iowa February 22nd 1904 The Cary Club met with Mrs Dobson the President being absent Vice President Mrs Voris presided Roll call was responded to by quotations on patriotism Eight members being present Minutes of January 28th & February 8 were read and approved Mrs Hutchinson read a paper on, "What the flag has cost Women" and Mrs Dobson read a paper on the "Race problem" business consisted chiefly of Voting for new members Mrs Evans and Mrs Will Parmenter being elected current events were then given. Club adjourned to meet with Mrs E W McKean in two weeks Mrs Davis Mrs Griffiths President Secretary Marion Ia March 7th 1904 The Club met with Mrs E W McKean. Vice President Mrs Voris presiding, roll call responded to by eleven members. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Current events were then given Mrs Maddock not being able to be present Mrs Brown read her paper for her, the subject being "Dr Baker the reformer" as there was still some time left Mrs Bailey read her paper on "Avenues of Employment open to Women" two visitors were present Club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs Gibson Mrs Davis Mrs Griffiths President Secretary
