78 The Cary Club held it's first meeting October 3rd 1904 at the home of Mrs. J. C. Davis, sixteen members present. Being the initial meeting of the year, the outgoing president Mrs. Davis, retired from the position she had so accept- ably filled in favor of Mrs. Hutchin son our new president. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Report of Secretary, of last years work read and approved. Treasurer also read her report which was approved. The pres- ident appointed Mrs. Davis a del- igate to the Club Federation. Mrs. Bailey read an interesting article from the Outbook on "College Men," Mrs. Voris followed with an article. "The Effects of the war on the American People." Current events were then given, after which the Club adjourned to meet in two weeks at the home of Mrs. Hadwin.
