request of the president, the ladies of the club and their guests formed in a circle, joined hands and sang "Bless Be the Tie that Binds". "Guest Day" proved to be one of the most enjoyable of the many pleasant gatherings of the club. The affair was informal with no roll call and no program. The Cary Club met Monday April 16th with Mrs. Hutchison the president presiding. Thirteen members and one visitor (Mrs. Plurnt) were present. "Arbor Day" quotations were given in response to roll call and minutes of last meeting read and approved. Mrs. Bailey read and excellent article on "Agricultural college at Ames". The preservation of American forests was the subject of an interesting paper by Mrs. Pyle. Current events were discussed followed by a short business session when it was decided to postpone the next meeting (April 30th) to a later date. This postponement made on account of the Union meetings being held in the city. Club adjourned to meet in four weeks for the annual meeting. The hostess served refreshments and a pleasant social hour was enjoyed. Mrs. Brown, Pres. Mrs. Gibson, Sec'y.
