Marion Iowa Monday Oct 22nd 06 The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs Phelps. Fourteen members and one guest present. Sisters Hadwen, McKean, Cook, Pyle, Parmenter, Gibson, Brown, Alexander, Yoris, Griffiths, Phelps, McKean, Rathbun and Hutchinson and Mrs. Brown of Stirling Kan. guest. Meeting called to order at normal hour. Pres Presiding. Roll call ans by current events. Minutes read and approved. Names were then proposed to fill the vacancy made by the removal of Mrs. Evans Sec. was appointed committee to interview delinquent member and ascertain if they wished to be placed on retired list. Club approved the purchase of flowers for Mrs. Evans. Moved and carried that the Club pay for funding magazine for library. Pres. appointed Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Yoris delegates from Cary Club to Federation for the year and requested when to attend to funding of magazine for library. Mrs. Cook read an article on London. Mrs. Stookey and Mrs. Bailey not being present Mrs Hadwen read article on their subjects English Cathedrals & English Country. Criticisms called for. Adjourned to meet with Mrs. A. J. McKean in two weeks. Mrs. Hadwen Pres. Mrs. Hutchinson Sec.
