Marion Iowa. Monday Nov. 12th 06. The regular meeting for Nov. 5th was postponed one week on account of an invitation from the federation of Clubs in Cedar to all the Clubs in Marion to attend an entertainment at the C.R. Library Nov 5th. Met Nov. 12th with Mrs Hadwan, Mrs McKean being out of town. Thirteen members present. Sisters Phelps, Davis, Griffiths, Hadwen, Alexander, Gibson, Cook, Baily, McKean, Ives, Pyle, Yoris & Hutchinson. Roll call responded to by current events. Minutes read and accepted. Owing to several members being late, business was left until later in the session. Antwerp was the subject of a paper by Mrs Hutchinson. Bruges and Ghent - Mrs Hadwen, and Brussels and Waterloo Mrs Pyle. Business meeting resulted in accepting Mrs [illegible]'s request to be place on the retired list with the privilege of being reinstated at any time she could take of the work if there was a vacancy. Mrs Troy was unanimously elected to fill the vacancy made by the going away of Mrs Evers. [illegible] com. was instructed to send flowers to Mrs Stookey who is very ill. Adjourned to meet in one week with Mrs Hutchinson. Hostess served English tea assisted by Mrs Downes. Mrs Hadwen Pres. Mrs Hutchinson Sec.
