Marion Iowa Jan 13th 1908. The Cary Club met at the home of Mr.s Alderman with ten members present. Meeting called to order by the Vice President. Quotations from Lowell[?] were given in response to roll call. Minutes of Dec 2nd and Dec 16th read and approved. Mrs. Gibson appointed critic. The follow interesting program was then given "Snowbound" was read by Mrs. Alderman and "The Story of [?]" was given by Mrs. Brown. Guest day was postponed until Feb 10th transferring the program for the day to Jan 27th. Menu[?] for membership was given and the club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Sargeant. Mrs. Hutchinson Pres. Pro. Tem. Mrs. Pyle Secy. Marion Iowa Jan 27th 08. The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Sargeant with eleven members present. Meeting called to order by the Vice President. Quotations from Yowell [?] were given in response to roll call. Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. Mrs. Ives appointed critic. Business meeting resulted in the unanimous election of Mrs. Sanderwood as a member of this club. Guest day was discussed, and t was moved and carried to postpones same until [?] future time. Mrs. Griffiths read selection from "Biglow Papers" and "Mr. Hoasea[?] Biglow to the Editor of the Atlantic Monthly" followed by current events after which club adjourned to meet in two weeks with mrs. Cook. Mrs. Hutchinson Pres. Pro. Tem. Mrs. Pyle Secy.
