Marion Iowa Feb 16th 1908 The Cary Club met at the book of Mrs. Cook[?] with nine members and one guest (Mrs. Cooks sister Mrs. D. Alsop [?]) present. Meeting called to order by the Vice President. Miscellaneous quotations were given in response to roll call. Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. Names for membership were proposed. Mrs. Hutchinson then gave us a "Book Review" she chose the Club Story and it was very much enjoyed by us all. Current events were gen and the club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Pyle. Mrs. Hutchinson Pres. Pro. Tem. Mrs. Pyle Secy. Marion Iowa Feb 24th 1908 The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Pyle with ten members present. Meeting called to order by the Vice President. Miscellaneous quotations were given in response to roll call. Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. A short business meeting resulted in unanimous election of Mrs. N. S. [?] as a member of this club. Mrs. E.M. McKean was appointed delegate to the Federation of Clubs. Mrs. E.M. McKean then read a magazine article "Traps and Baits for the Biggest Bugaboo of Daily Life". Current events were given and the club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Bailey. Mrs. Hutchinson Pres. Pro. Tem. Mrs. Pyle Secy.
