Marion Iowa Jan 25th 1909 The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Hutchinson. Pres. called club to order. Quotations from Mark Twain were given in response to roll call. The minutes of previous meeting was read and approved. The Club then voted on names proposed at previous meeting resulting in an unanimous vote for Mrs. Beatly. Pres. appointed Mrs. Gibson to take Mrs. Baileys place on program Com for 1909-10. The Cary Club being notified that would have change of Program at the next meeting of City Fed of Clubs. the following program was arranged for that day. Vocal solo by Norman Ives Trip to Cuba via Florida - Mrs. Mentzer A reading by Mrs. Winter A Geographical by Mrs. Hutchinson The regular program of Club followed. Mrs. Hutchinson account of her trip to Seattle and Cal was very instructing and interesting. Sec. reported each club could make choice of some books to be purchased by Federation Com. Pres. advised the members to select subjects for next years program and hand them in this week. No further business. Club adjourned to meet with Mrs. Cross Feb 8. Mrs. S. Brown
