Marion Iowa March 14 -- 1910 The Cary Club met at 2.30PM with Mrs Florence Sargent-- with thirteen members answering to their names at roll call with quotations from Longfellow The minutes of the meeting held with Mrs Cross Feby 28th read and there being no objections or corrections were approved by Mrs President Pyle A vote of thanks to the committee who planned and served at the annual picnic lunch,-- also to Mrs Cross for the hospitality shown by opening wide the doors of her home for the meeting of Feby 28th It was decided to pay the expenses of the supper out of the funds in the Treasury Mrs Walter Winter gave a very interesting "Book review" of the Calling of Dan Matthews, also the Shepherd in the Hills Mrs Rathbuns recitation was "About the Flag" a subject always dear to our members Mrs Blinks read a paper on the "High Cost of living" and it was discussed by every member of the Club present. Current events were then given, after which a motion made to adjourn to meet with Mrs E W Griffith March 28th Mrs Pyle President Mrs C E Cross Secy
