Marion . Ia . Jan 9th . 1911 . Cary Club met at the home of Mrs Sargent. Club called to order by Pres Mrs Winter. Thirteen members present. Conundrums were given in ans to roll call. Minutes of Dec 12th were read and approved. no meeting was held Dec 26th on account of it being the day after Christmas. Two number on the Xmas program. were given. Mrs Pyle gave "Xmas Customs in England". Mrs Davis "England in the Elizabethan Age". Mrs Alderman "Shakespeare Stratford on Avon" Current events were give. Credits taken. Club adjourned to meet with Mrs T R Alexander. Susie Brown Sec'y Marion Jan 23rd 1911 Cary Club met at the home of Mrs Pyle. Club was called to order by Pres. quotations were given in ans to roll call. Minutes of Jan 9th were read and approved. fourteen members and and [sic] one visitor. Mrs Sharp were present. Club discussed plans for Guest day. Mrs Cross very kindly invited Club to hold its Guest day at her house. it was decided each member should invite two guests Pres aptd program Com. Mrs Brown. Mrs Beatty. Mrs Blinks. Refreshment Com". Mrs Pyle. Alderman McKean, Decoration Com. Davis. Alexander. Phelps Bailey. Mrs Winter gave Mrs Griffiths work on program "The British Parliment [sic]", Mrs Ives John Wesley the founder of Methodism which was very interesting. the Club presented Mrs Hutchinson who is leaving for an indefinite time
