Marion Iowa Jan 8 1912 The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Cook. Meeting was called to order by the Pres. As the Secretary was ill Mrs. Pyle was appointed for the day. The weather being very disagreeable there were only nine members present. Quotations from Ella Wheeler Wilcox were given at roll call History lesson was given by Mrs. Griffiths. Mrs. Bailey gave a reading on Jane Adams and her work. At the business meeting it was decided to propose names for membership in ten weeks. The resignation of Mrs. Sinclair was read. Current events were then given and the club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Alderman. Mrs. C.A. Pyle Sec. Pro. Tem.
