Marion Iowa Feb 5th 1912 Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Cross, seventeen members present. The president presiding. Roll call responded to by quotations from Charles Dickens. History lessen was given by Mrs. Davis. Mrs. Brown gave a sketch of Dickens life. Business session followed Mrs. Elson[?] was unanimously elected to be a member of the Club. Plans for guest day were discussed. was decided each member invite ten guests. Pres. appointed the following committee's Entertainment - Alexander Ives and Bailey. Refreshments - Blinks, Brown and Cross. Current Events were omitted. The Hostess served dainty refreshments & a social hour followed. Club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Winter. Mrs. Mentzer Pres. Mrs. Alderman Sec.
