Marion, Iowa Sept. 22 -1913 Cary Club held its first meeting of the year with Mrs Bailey. Seventeen members and one Honorary member present. The minutes of the meetings of May 24 and Guest Day, June 9th were read and approved. Reports of the Secretary and Treasurer were read and accepted, also That of The Floral loom. After a statement of conditions by Mrs Winter from the loom on Refreshments for The Club Tea Mrs McKean mad a a motion that each member be assessed thirtyfive cents to defray expenses of Club Tea and if this gave any surplus to place it in Treasury. Motion carried. The retiring/Pres. Mrs Blinter in a pleasant manner turned over the gavel to the new Pres. Mrs Ivez who accepted it the same spirit. A communication from the Lily Federation was presented, asking the Club to obtain the names and addresses of lot owners and persons who cared for the lots and names of persons buried in the Pioneer Section of the Cemetry. The Pres. appointed as a Com. for this work Mrs Hutiekinson, Mrs McKean, Mrs Broze and Mrs Davis. Mrs Ivez then gave a very interesting as well as instructive Birdeye View of our Country. A few headings of which were the devastating floods and R.R. wrecks of the last years, the largest attendance of the coleges this year, the agitations and work over
