273 Marion, Iowa Nov 13. 1916. Cary Club met at the home of Mrs McKean. Nine members and two visitors Mrs Tons and Mrs Crowner, present.Roll call responded with quotations from George Eliot. Minutes of meeting of Oct. 30" read and approved. Mrs Blinks then gave a very interesting review of the book, "The Lost Word", which was enjoyed by all. Current Events were then given after which our Hostess served dainty refreshments and a social hour followed. Club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs Rathbun Mrs Mentzer Pres Mrs Alderman Sec. Marion Ia. Nov 27" 1916. Cary Club met at the home of Mrs Reichert. Nine members & one visitor present. Roll call responded to with Thanksgiving quotations. Minutes of meeting of Nov 13 read and approved. Mrs Reichert read a very interesting Thanksgiving story. Mrs Mentzer's subject of Bolivia and the Sunken City was very interesting.
