277 Marion Iowa Feb. 5 - 1917 Club Guest Day. City - The Cary club was entertained at the home of Mrs C.A. Pyle Monday afternoon. The short program consisted of guessing contests and other general games, and Mrs. Walter Scott Winter gave several readings. It was guest day, and among the out of town guests were Mrs. E.C. Hampton of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Alice Bromwell of Omaha. attendance is desired as there will be election of officers. Cary Club Guest Day The Cary club held its annual guest day meeting at the home of Mrs. C.A. Pyle Wednesday afternoon, from 3 to 6 o'clock. The afternoon was spent with needlework, entertainment being provided by several contests, victrola music and a number of excellent readings by Mrs. W. S. Winter. The home was beautifully decorated with white carnations and jonquils and at 5 o'clock a two course luncheon was served. Marion Iowa Feb 19- 1917 Cary club met with Mrs Reichert at the usual hour. Pres Mrs Mentzer called club to order. Roll call responded to by quotations from Lincoln. Minutes of last meeting read and accepted. both delegates being absent no report of the Federation meeting was given. A motion was made and recorded a vote of thanks be extended to Hostess Mrs Pyle and committees for the very successful Guest Day. Motion was carried unanimously. Program was then given per calender Mrs Elson telling of the Straits of Magellan, and Mrs McKean the very interesting Subject Lincoln Current Events were given and club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs Winter.
