278 Marion Iowa March 5- 1917 Cary Club was entertained by Mrs Winter at the usual hour Eleven responded to Roll Call by "Household Discoveries". Minutes of previous meeting read and accepted. Mrs Shumac had the Subject "The Argentine Republic the United States of the Southern Hemisphere. and Mrs Wilson, Mental Inventory which completed the Literary program. Current Events were omited as the time was short and club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs Shumack Addie Shumack Sec. pro tem. Mrs Mentzer Pres. Marion Iowa March 19- 1917 Cary Club meet with Mrs Shumack at the usual hour. Pres Mrs Mentzer called meeting to order. Roll call responded to by quotations from William [Devane Woonelle?]. Minutes of last meeting read and accepted. Mrs Cross gave a report of club party and our delegate Mrs Waffle gave a report of Federation. Members assigned on program being absent Mrs Brown and Mrs Shumack gave and impromptu lesson on Uruguay and its Capitol Montevido and the coffee growing in Brazil. Current events were given and club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs Brown. Ten members and three guests were present Mrs Patterson, Hall and Miss Mae Rathbun guests Mrs Mentzer Pres. Addie Shumack Sec pro tem.
