280 Marion Iowa April 16- 17 Cary Club was entertained by Mrs Blinks who called club to order President being late Roll call responded to by favorite quotations. Minutes of last meeting read and approved Program was given per calendar Mrs Reichert gave. "Development of the South American Nation" and Mrs Griffiths character sketch of our New President of the U.S. Mrs Brown gave a report of the Federation meeting. Current Events were given and club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs Alexander Eleven members were present Hostess served Tea and Cakes during social hour. Addie B. Shumack Sec Pro tem Ellen Mentzer Pres. Marion Iowa April 30- 1917 Through snow and rain three of the faithful Cary Sisters reached the home of Mrs Alexander at the usual hour. Pres tho present was unable to have the regular meeting those on program being absent, and not being a quorum no business could be transacted. still - the four spent a pleasant and profitable afternoon. the Hostess as usual for her served Tea and cakes Addie B. Shumack Sec protem.
