24 Marion Iowa Feb 10 - 1919 Cary Club met with Mrs Winter Mrs Pyle Vice President called Club to order. Roll call responded to by sayings from Lincoln. Ten members present. Minutes of Jan 13 read by Secty and minutes of Jan 29 taken by Mrs Reickert Secty pro tem postponed for next meeting Mrs B. being absent. Secty read note from Mrs McKean thanking club for flowers sent by Club at time of her husbands passing away. Mrs Waffle urged the members to try and be present at the Federation meeting Feb 11. Motion was made and carried we adopt a French Orphan for one year. Ladies then adjourned to the kitchen where Miss Spencer. County Demonstrator gave a short lecture on Thrift and demonstrated the [illegible?] cooker and steam pressure Cooker greatly to the satisfaction of ladies all feeling greatly benefited for afternoons work. after which ladies adjourned to meet in one week with Mrs Pyle Addie Shumack Secty.
