It was the sentiment of the meeting that Mrs. Watland should investigate by correspondence and that we have a called meeting to consider what she should find out about slogans advertised in the "Union Signal." The retiring President explained the reason why she had declined the nomination for another year was that the work was so unfamiliar to her that she had to have a great deal of help from Mrs. Lincoln and it must be more burdensome to her than it would be to do it all herself. Mrs. George congratulated the Union on the fine group of officers elected for the coming year. Mrs. J. S. McKee - Sec. Sept 2.
