74 1933 W.C.T.U. held its October Meeting at the home Mrs G. W. Richards. Meeting was opened by singing "Crusade Hymn", "Go Forward" Mrs Geo Mitchell accompanist. Solo-"Bondage and Death the Cup Contains"-Mrs Mitchell Rev. McPherson had charge of Devotionals Reading several portions of Scripture from Proverbs Isaiah and Luke to show the evilness of liquor. He followed the reading by Prayer. Sec. report for August meeting read and approved. Motion made and seconded to order blotters for use in school. Mrs Robt Lincoln appointed to so order. Motion carried. Miss Butler gave a few impressions of the State Convention. More in detail to be given at some later meeting. Meeting turned over to Miss Wilma[?] Rayburn who spoke on "Bone Dry Laws of Iowa" Meeting closed by prayer. Mrs Geo Lincoln-Sec W.C.T.U. held its November meeting Nov 21 at the home of Mrs G.O. Watland. Song, "Carry On" was sung. A special number was sung by Mrs Mitchell, " To the Y. P. B." Rev Wilkinson had charge of Devotionals reading from the 11th chapter of Luke. He followed the reading by some inspiring remarks on the "Value of Prayer." He then offered prayer. Secretary's Reports of September and October were read and approved. Mrs Lincoln reported that Bbl of fruit ready and would be sent immediately. At the County Convention it was voted to allow them to buy Grinnell's blotters as well as the rest of the county. Mrs J. C. Lincoln moved the offer by accepted. Seconded by Mrs Stoakes. Motion carried. It was moved and seconded that Mrs Stoakes be allowed to use her own judgment in place for funds at home or in the bank. Treasurer's Report given. Balance of $9.20 Report accepted.
